Your son or daughter is trying to achieve a high score on the SAT, the ACT or a college- admissions test. You want to help, but you aren’t sure where to turn for good advice – and everyone you talk to says something different. That, is why we launched IES Publications. After years of watching parents throw good money at unhelpful test prep, and terrible study guides, we wanted to document everything we had observed during our years of helping students across the United States and abroad gain admission to their first-choice schools.
Whether your son or daughter is aiming for a dream school or striving for a scholarship that will make college affordable, IES Publication books are an invaluable set of tools. They offer comprehensive, step-by-step preparation, covering everything from fundamental concepts to effective strategies against the most challenging questions. All IES materials can be used independently by highly motivated students, or they can supplement work done with a tutor or in class.
Regardless of whichever path you choose, our books help instill a sense of control over the test. Our materials help students build a foundation to build courage and confidence. So, students feel fully prepared when they sit for examinations.
I like this series of books. The passages are sufficiently rigorous and the questions are comparable to the real test. The answer explanations are online, which is an extra step, but it keeps the book slim and easily portable, so I don't have a problem with that. I use this book with SAT students as well as with any of my struggling high school readers.
I was initially quite worried about the selection of this book because many SAT books made from organizations other than College Board usually fail to pursue the format of the text. But this book exactly corresponds the format, style and type of questions and texts that are encountered in the actual exam. Really glad to prepare for the new SAT with this book and I recommend this to everyone who is really concerned with the accomplishing of the highest score.
